Meet Our Team

Matt was born and raised in Turlock, CA where he enjoys still calling it home with his wife (Leigh) and their five children (Eric, Ellie, Emma, Clark & Kate). Matt obtained his Property and Casualty insurance license and began his insurance career with GDI while still in high school. Later obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from California State University Stanislaus and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurial Strategy from University of Pacific.

While pursuing his MBA, Matt left GDI to work as an MBA Intern for Kaiser Permanente where he was tasked with evaluating and improving the operational efficiencies of underperforming departments. His experience with Kaiser allowed Matt the ability to replicate his experience in identifying operation deficiencies, developing improvement plans with obtainable goals to correct the deficiencies, and to implement plans in a manner to deliver measurable operational improvements. Following completion of his graduate studies, Matt accepted a position with E. & J. Gallo Winery as a Financial Analyst in their Domestic Sales Finance Organization where he was responsible for aggregating and maintaining annual sales plans, implementing a new financial reporting system, and routinely reporting and evaluating sales field performance.

Matt possesses both his Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses. He has also completed extensive insurance and risk management training including multiple sales and risk management courses from the Hartford School of Insurance and has obtained his Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate Risk Manager (ARM), and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designations. Matt rejoined GDI in 2010 where his responsibilities include client consulting, risk management and engineering, sales, and managing GDI’s day-to-day operations.

In December of 2015 Matt became the President and sole owner of GDI. Moving forward Matt’s vision and focus for GDI is to enhance the organization’s service offering to provide an integrated and comprehensive platform for its clients to manage not only their risk and insurance needs, but also provide a springboard for improving the efficiency (both operational and financial) of their own operations.

Matt’s often heard saying, “GDI may not be Disney, but we will do our absolute best to give as close to a ‘Disney’ experience to our clients and community as we possibly can.” In his spare time Matt enjoys travel, outdoor activities, running, playing sports and is an active member in multiple community service organizations including Turlock Chamber of Commerce, Turlock Sunrise Rotary Club and the City of Turlock’s Planning Commission. On weekends however, you’ll most likely find he and Leigh at the local sports fields cheering on their kids in all manner of sports (Softball, Soccer, etc.).

Stephanie lives in Hilmar, CA where she was raised. Shortly after graduating from Hilmar High School, Stephanie began her career in the insurance industry with a longstanding local agency. She joined the GDI team in 2011 where she saw the opportunity and excitement of a fast-growing organization, starting in the role of Assistant Account Manager in the Commercial and Ag department and moving her way up in the organization to now managing both the Commercial & Ag department and the overall operations of GDI’s multiple branches. Stephanie lives in Hilmar with her husband (Brian) where they recently purchased their home. She and Brian just had their first son, Asher, in November 2021 after 10 longs years of waiting.  She enjoys spending time with her family – and especially Asher, doting on and spoiling her four nieces and one nephew, and going to Disneyland with her husband and friends every chance she gets.

Robert “Bobby” Sanchez grew up locally in Hilmar where he still resides with his wife (Jenny) and his two amazing daughters.  Bobby brings over 14 years of Finance, Banking, and Insurance experience; as well as a wealth of knowledge and practical, real-world experience to the team.  His family is his WHOLE WORLD, and they are his motivation in all aspects of his life.  His hobbies include Sports and Music.

I am a dedicated professional in the employee benefits industry, passionate about helping clients navigate the ever-evolving healthcare landscape. I was Born in Turlock, CA, and now reside in Modesto, CA.  I am also a registered nurse with a heartfelt aspiration to one day volunteer in a hospice facility. Staying informed about healthcare changes and finding ways to better serve our employer clientele is a key focus of my career.

Beyond work, I find the greatest joy in our blended family, cherishing the experience of watching our kids grow and find themselves. Weekends are often spent dirt bike riding and cheering on my better half in his dirt bike races. We love camping and enjoying time with family and friends.

Liana lives in Turlock, CA where she was born and raised. She attended school locally and is a graduate of Turlock High School. Being newer to the industry, Liana is accelerating through the ranks and is currently pursuing her Property & Casualty insurance license. Liana and her twin sister are the youngest of 5 siblings and she has two dogs (Champ and Oso). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, watching movies and spending time outdoors.

Jeanette loves spending time with her family, traveling, sports, and all things adventurous.  She is married with two daughters.

Marissa is a Bay Area transplant to the Central Valley, being born in San Jose, CA, raised in San Mateo, CA and having relocated to Turlock about 5 years ago. She has been a valued member of the GDI team since 2013, starting her GDI career as the receptionist and office administrative assistant and being promoted to Assistant Account Manager in Personal Lines, and is now pursuing her Property & Casualty insurance license. Marissa is the proud married mother of three children (2 boys & 1 girl) and two dogs (Buster & Coco). In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, going to the gym, spending time with her kids/family, watching movies, playing baseball, and going to Disneyland. Marissa’s key to success is to, “always help our clients because they ARE our family”.

Deztenie was born and raised in Turlock and is happy to continue to call it home. She graduated from Pitman High School and attended Merced College and brings a strong level of experience in both the retail and safety industries. Deztenie is the proud parent to her daughter and enjoys spending time with her family, playing board and card games, binge watching Netflix, listening to podcasts and coloring with her daughter and son.

Tiana is born and raised in Turlock, CA and a graduate at Turlock High School. She is new to the industry, joining the GDI team in 2019. Tiana is a proud mother to her daughter Ellie. In her spare time Tiana enjoys spending time with her family and friends being outdoors.

Jaimie is from Orange County currently residing in the Central Valley where she is a graduate from Enochs High School. Prior to joining GDI, she has worked in many fields including customer service, telecommunications, and even getting certified as a Registered Behavioral Therapist in ABA Therapy. Jaimie is a proud parent to her dog Macie. In her spare time, she loves to cook, craft, going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with her partner and family especially her godchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jaimie lives by “Being kind to others” and “Working smarter not harder.”

Joe was born in Turlock and spent his childhood between Turlock and Los Banos, graduating from Los Banos High school and CSU Stanislaus with a major in history. He lives in Turlock with his wife Becky and their dog Sherlock.  Originally planning on going into teaching, he was asked to help a friend at his agency for the summer and has now been licensed and working in the insurance industry for 23 years. He enjoys camping and board/tabletop gaming.

With over 25 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, I am committed to helping individuals and businesses protect what matters most. In addition, I am licensed in the Life & Health industry, which allows me to serve clients with a well-rounded and trusted approach.

Beyond my professional life, I am a proud wife and a mother of three awesome children. My family is my greatest joy. We love spending time together, especially at the beach.

I also hold a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a discipline that has taught me the value of focus, perseverance, and resilience in both my personal life and my work.

Rhonda resides in the Northern California Sierra Foothills with her husband Ross. Together they have 5 children and 10 grandchildren (#11 on the way). Rhonda has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, She was a partner/owner of InsPro Agents & Brokers Insurance Services and joined GDI Insurance as a Commercial Lines Account Manager in December 2023 when GDI purchased InsPro. She and her husband enjoy travelling the US in their RV as well and spending time with their family and friends.

John was born and raised in Stockton, CA.  John currently resides in Lincoln, CA with his wife, Diane.  Together they have four children and eight grandchildren.  John graduated from Stagg High School in Stockton, and later obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, with a Marketing major and Economics minor, from the University of California, Berkeley, where he also played baseball.  He later went on to play for the St. Louis Cardinals.

John has over 50 years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry.  He worked on the carrier side in management positions for 19 years, then opened his own insurance business, before joining GDI in late 2023.

John’s interests include golfing, in which he had the trip of a lifetime golfing in Scotland with his son, and friends last year.  He also enjoys watching his grandkids play various sports (baseball, football, soccer).

Irena, a proud Turlock, CA native, has over 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, where she’s passionate about helping clients find the perfect coverage. When she’s not working, you can find her at home with her adorable Chiweenie-Russell mix, Penny, and her Siberian Husky, Lady, who keep life full of joy and wagging tails. Irena is also a plant enthusiast with a thriving collection of indoor greenery that makes her home feel like a little oasis. In her downtime, she loves rocking out at concerts and getting her hands a little messy with ceramics, creating her own unique pieces. Most importantly, Irena is lucky to have the best teammate in life, Mike, who’s always there to cheer her on and share in the fun. Whether it’s her career, her pets, or her hobbies, Irena puts her heart into everything she does.

Ady Chavez is a young professional with a strong foundation in banking and finance. After gaining valuable experience as a Commercial Associate Account Manager, Ady has transitioned into the role of Agent/Broker Consultant, where she is focused on building lasting relationships and delivering tailored insurance solutions. Her goal is simple: to partner with business owners and help protect what they’ve worked so hard to build. Passionate about discovering new cuisines, Ady is always on the lookout for her next great foodie adventure. Outside of work, she enjoys diving into a good book, hitting the gym, a good game of pickleball, exploring the outdoors, and unwinding with a great movie.

Kelin has lived in Stevinson for over 40 years and graduated from CSU Stanislaus with a BS in Accounting.  She was an Accounts Payable Specialist at a local Real Estate company for 22 years and now has moved to the Insurance Industry.  It’s a challenge but she thrives on challenges.  Being a self-proclaimed “Concert-a-holic,” she will attend any concert she can make it to.  She loves going to the beach, road trips with her friends and sister and spending time with her dog and two cats.  She also loves Hollywood, which is where she’d like to live someday.

Kayleigh Gilbert is a dedicated insurance professional committed to helping businesses secure the right coverage to protect their employees and assets. With a background in public service as a City Councilwoman in Oakdale, she values community and business growth. Passionate about educating clients, Kayleigh provides tailored insurance solutions to keep businesses protected and thriving.

Amanda was born and raised in the Central Valley and has called Turlock home for over 30 years. She is a devoted mother to two young children, Lennox and Lane and was a stay-at-home mom for five years. She enjoys spending time with her children, reading captivating books and spending too much money on her coffee addiction. She has previously worked in customer service and as an Administrative Assistant in the HR department of a local city. She is new to the team and has recently obtained her Life, Accident and Health Insurance License and looks forward to a successful career with GDI.

I’m new to the insurance industry and excited to begin my career at GDI Insurance. Currently, I’m training as a receptionist, and I’ve already grown to love the supportive, upbeat atmosphere here. It’s refreshing to be part of a team where everyone shows up with a positive attitude and is always willing to help one another.

I’m in the process of earning my property and casualty insurance license, and I’m eager to continue learning and growing within the company. My goal is to become licensed and build a long-term career at GDI.

Outside of work, I live on a small farm and am a proud pet parent to five dogs, five cats, two tortoises, two cockatiels, and two chickens. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I’m always working on a new craft or picking up a new skill in my spare time.

Born & raised in Southern California, Jill transplanted to the state of Texas in 2002. “Having familial roots that go back generations, I immediately felt right at home in East Texas.”

Jill graduated from California State University – Northridge with a BA in Kinesiology. “Although I loved what I studied, I was always drawn to service industries.”  Her insurance and benefits career began in college working for a PEO Organization as an HR Generalist, Benefits Coordinator and ultimately Executive Assistant.

In 2009, Jill’s service call lead her to the Salon & Spa Industry where she served as Customer Service Manager, Salon & Spa Manager, and Licensed Manicurist where she was able to pamper and share her gift of service.

In 2022, Jill returned to the Insurance Industry with NTX Benefits, obtaining her agent license. “I enjoy the abiity to help people learn about their health insurance needs and options.”

Nathan Dabulewicz, is a dedicated insurance Servicing the community since 2007, specializing in customized insurance solutions for individuals and businesses. He began his career with Farmers Insurance, where he spent 16 years, joining GDI Insurance Agency in 2013. Nathan is committed to providing expert guidance and personalized service, ensuring his clients receive the right coverage to protect their assets, businesses, and families. His approach prioritizes education, transparency, and strategic risk management, empowering clients to make informed decisions with confidence.

Born and raised in Turlock, CA, Nathan built strong connections within his community before relocating with his family to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2022. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in professional and community organizations, serving as Chair of the Board for the Turlock Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Turlock Education Foundation. He remains engaged with networking groups such as Lakepoint Business Builders and the Rockwall Chamber.

Nathan is passionate about fostering meaningful relationships, both professionally and personally. He values supporting businesses and individuals in achieving financial security and peace of mind. Outside of his career, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Amy, and their two children, Cody and Kaylee. Whether golfing, exploring new destinations on family vacations, or staying active in his community, Nathan embraces a well-rounded lifestyle that balances professional excellence with personal fulfillment.

Curtis was raised in the Central Valley and has always called Porterville, California home along with his wife Adela & his three children Taylor, Cylee & Cael.  Curtis attended MHS and was Senior Class President along with being a scholar athlete.  Additionally, Curtis was the only Three Time Winner to exhibit the Grand Champion Steer at the Cow Palace in San Francisco & also proudly represented the USA Wrestling Exchange Team in Germany.  Later Curtis obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Ag Business with a concentration in Finance & Appraisal from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

After starting with CalFarm Insurance & obtaining his Property & Casualty license along with his Life & Health license, Curtis was fortunate to join BMI, one of the largest Independent Insurance Agencies in the Valley.  Curtis was a VP for BMI while specializing in Livery, Agribusiness, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation and earned his AFIS (Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist) designation.  Curtis was the only BMI agent to ever be endorsed by Allied Grape Growers Association to write their Farm & Ranch Property and Casualty insurance business.

Curtis is active throughout the Valley, but has always focused on community involvement in and around Porterville, his home town.  One of the most prestigious monthly events in Porterville is the Porterville Men’s Agribusiness Luncheon, which Curtis was one of the original founders & sponsors.  He also supports local 4H & FFA exhibitors, MHS, PHS & SHS Booster Clubs along with serving as a director & coach of the PFFA, where he won two State Championships for Porterville!!!  Recently, Curtis was inducted into the MHS “Hall of Fame” but he still believes his true legacy is in his children.

In 2013 Curtis joined forces with Matt Davis of GDI Insurance Agency & Curtis firmly believes that, “You’re only as good as the people you surround yourself with in life.”  So, joining Matt’s Team is truly a Blessing & “The very best is yet to come.”  When not talking insurance, Curtis can be found around his family BBQ gathering, smoking food, hunting / fishing or at the gym with his son Cael.
