FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Guide
As part of this commitment to safety, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration focuses heavily on the misuse of drugs and alcohol—a major contributor to highway crashes and deaths. According to the most recent data from the FMCSA, positive drug tests for drivers of large trucks involved in fatal crashes increased 48% from 2015 to 2017.
To help address concerns related to impaired driving and protect both commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders and the individuals with whom they share the road, the FMCSA established the CDL Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
